Dr. Joy Vaughan


A native of Barbados, Dr. Joy Vaughan (Dr. Joy) brings a unique and diverse set of educational, practical, and professional experiences to the issues that often negatively impact people at some point in their lives and careers. After a near-fatal accident ended her career as an Occupational Therapist, she reinvented herself as a Brain and Behavior Coach who specializes in the neurocognitive training of groups and individuals. She is a former Florida International University and Broward College professor, and a world traveler. Dr. Vaughan’s forte is helping her clients reinvent themselves and be resilient. Her unique individual and group neurocognitive training shifts her client’s behaviors one neuron at a time. Dr. Vaughan holds a Masters’s degree in Special Education/Neuropsychology and a Doctorate in Education and Brain-based Learning. She enjoys supporting others to think and live “outside of the box,” and being a Nana. She is the author of“Powerful People, Powerful Lives,” the “Seven Steps Empowerment” series for the secular and Christian souls, and “The Art of Resilience: Phoenixes Rising.”
