David Skidmore

Dave Skidmore was born in Brooklyn NY, but spent his early years in Long Island, NY, then graduated from high school in Allentown, PA. Having never been a grade A student—by a long shot—David, upon graduation joined the military where he quickly found a place for his artistic skills. He was picked to design his company flag in boot camp, which he thinks may have spared him the wrath of the drill instructor, although he still got a good taste. After the military, going back and forth from sign painting to carpentry, David put together an art portfolio and found himself a job in advertising as an art director in the Big Apple, New York City. This is where David would spend the rest of his career, while, with his wife, raising two children who are now young adults.
